Student wishing to study at tertiary institutions need to take the IELTS exam but also need some of the skills more traditionally taught in an EAP program. Langports IELTS Extension Program (IEP) combines IELTS preparation and EAP to provide our students with the best chance of success at university. 
- Maximum 15 students per class
- 12 week course
- 30 lessons per week.
- Closed classes.
- Regular presentations by guest speakers from, or visits to, universities; such as QUT, Bond and Griffith University.
- Academic Assignment Preparation, Research Skills for Academic Success.
- Speed Reading, Presentation and Group Work Skills.
- A pre-test must be taken prior to entry to this course. A minimum level of English is required.
- Teachers monitor student progress towards achieving the expectations on an ongoing basis by using various strategies such as homework assignments, weekly progress tests, projects, class presentations and observations.
- Start Dates 2010: June 28th (FULL), Sept 27th
- Start Dates 2011: 6 weeks: 17th Jan, 12 weeks: 7th March, 14th June, 3rd October
