A new month means a new schedule of exciting activities for our students at Langports!

From skydiving to karaoke – there is something for everyone!

Our activity officers Joao (Gold Coast) and Sade (Brisbane) work hard to bring our students a calendar jam-packed with events that provide the opportunity to explore Australia and make new friends at Langports.

 

Let’s take a look at what February will bring:

Perhaps our most exciting event of the month is the Byron Bay trip offered to our students from both campuses. A three-day trip full of adventure, relaxation and of course the beach – it is not one to miss! (Feb 7th-9th).

 

 

Gold Coast Highlights:

The new month starts off with a bang – our most courageous students are able to skydive over the beautiful scenery of the Gold Coast! – Feb 1st

We then head to Springbrook National Park – home to the most magnificent waterfalls and dense rainforest, showcasing the Gold Coast at its best. – Feb 2nd

 

We have two karaoke nights for our music lovers (Feb 10th, 24th), and a pub night where students can celebrate a week of hard work (Feb 21st)!

And for those who love to have a run around we have beach volleyball (Feb 6th, 20th), futsal (Feb 13th), ping pong (Feb 18th), bowling (Feb 26th) and a dedicated sports day (Feb 27th) to get the competitive juices flowing!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Brisbane Highlights:

The month kicks off with the opportunity to explore Stradbroke Island (or ‘Straddie’ as the locals call it), for a day of sun, sand and sea! (Feb 1st)

We then head to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary to get up close and personal with the Aussie wildlife! (Feb 2nd)

There are a bunch of events for our sports lovers this month, with basketball (Feb 4th, 27th), the Superbowl (Feb 10), Story Bridge Climb (Feb 16th), touch rugby (Feb 19th), soccer (Feb 21st) and ping pong (Feb 25th) all happening!

For those who are less sports-inclined, there is a trip to Dreamworld (Feb 15th), board games (Feb 18th), Noosa visit (feb 22nd) and a pub night (Feb 20th)!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But the fun doesn’t stop there, we have a very special event this month – Valentine’s Day! ❤️

For the special day we are feeling the love with Valentine’s movie and popcorn on Feb 13th, and a Valentine’s Day Traffic Light Costume event on Feb 14th!

 

We are keeping busy this month with a ton of fun events so make sure that you go to reception to register your interest!
