What to Expect on your
First Day at Langports
On their first day, students need to arrive by 8:15 AM (Brisbane & Gold Coast) with their passport. Students are then given information on staff members, school information and a tour of the city.
Integrated with the orientation is student level testing. There are 5 tests that rate the students’ overall English ability and their macro skills of Speaking, Reading, Listening and Writing. Testing takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
First Day Schedule
- A welcome to the school by the Director of Studies.
- Information about the classes and the timetable from the Academic team.
- A series of tests to determine level (5 tests – Writing, Reading, Listening, Speaking and grammar).
- A guided tour of the surrounding area, including important places.
- Student ID will be provided to each student.
- Information from the Student Services team.
