At Langports, we understand that your first day of learning away from home can be daunting.
That’s why we want to make the process as simple and enjoyable as possible!
On your first day you (and your passport!) will need to arrive at 8.15am for Brisbane students, or 8.45am for Gold Coast students.
You will be welcomed by one of our super friendly reception staff, Mayu or Mizuho!

We will first need to get the housekeeping stuff out of the way – ID cards and passports.
After that it’s time to take a test to determine which classes will be best for you to improve your English!
We assess skills such as speaking, reading, listening and writing.
But don’t stress – the tests are nothing to worry about, we do this to tailor your program to best suit you!
After that, all of our new students get to go on a guided tour of the local area where you will get to see the local sites of the Gold Coast or Brisbane and learn where all the important places are.

This is also a great opportunity to mingle and make new friends with your new classmates!
We will then return to campus to meet the student services teams and learn who is who in the zoo!
Finally, we will have time for any questions you may have – no question is too silly.
We are so happy to have you join the Langports family, and we can’t wait to see where your English journey takes you! 🙂
Still confused? Here’s the agenda for your first day!
