Course Information
Available at both our Brisbane and Gold Coast campuses, UFO English is a dynamic program ideal for students at all levels who want to build strong language foundations in a supportive, international environment.
UFO English Methodology
- USE of English: Grammar and functional language in context
- FOCUS: A different macro-skill each day (reading, writing, listening, speaking)
- OPTIONS: Choose from elective classes that suit your goals and interests
Each student’s timetable is customised based on initial placement tests. This means you may have a different class and teacher for each skill, ensuring your learning remains targeted and efficient.
Why is it called “UFO”?
Because it gives you control over your learning journey: USE, FOCUS, and OPTIONS combine to create a balanced and adaptive study experience.

Each week, you will experience integrated input & output skills, direct vocabulary study, grammar learning and exercises, language learning strategies as well as an even balance of the four macro-skills (writing, reading, listening & speaking). Over the week, you will receive an even balance of skill development, which will help you to improve your proficiency and ultimately achieve your desired goal.

In Langports’ UFO English program, you are always in the correct class for your English level. This means that your classmates will have the same level as you and you can work together to improve your English. Your class shouldn’t be too easy or too difficult, so you will always be learning!
