Are you planning to come to Australia on a Working Holiday visa or Student visa? Would you like to gain work experience and practise your new English skills in a business environment? If so, apply for our English + Internship program!

Langports offers 2 different English + Internship programs:

  • English + Professional Internship Placement
  • English + STEM Internship Placement

Both of these programs are available to all Langports students who study English for a minimum of 4 weeks prior to their internship and reach at least a upper intermediate level of English for the English.

You can choose to do an internship full-time during a break between 2 courses, or after you have completed your English course.

  • Internships are available for students aged 18 and over
  • First, students study English full-time or part-time depending on their visa and course, for at least 4 weeks
  • English courses can include UFO English,  Cambridge Flexi,  FCE,  CAE,  CPE,  IELTS,  EAP.
  • Then, they undertake an internship:
    • Student visa holders – choose a 6 to 8 week internship to take in your course break (depending on your course & study plan)
    • Working Holiday visa holders – choose a 6+ week internship
  • All internship placements are unpaid

English + Professional Internship Program

The Professional Internship Program offers candidates an opportunity to gain professional work experience and improve career opportunities in almost all academic fields and a wide range of industries.
It is aimed at candidates seeking work experience/internship positions in Australia. An internship is a great way to gain exposure into the professional work environment and develop professional workplace skills.

Enrolment conditions:

  • Hold a working visa (student visa or WHV)
  • Students must study English for a minimum of 4 weeks prior to the internship
  • Students must reach an upper intermediate level of English to be able to start their placement
  • Students must hold a personal liability insurance cover for up to AU$ 2 million*

These internship placements are full-time and unpaid (5 days per week).

English + STEM Internship Program

The Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Internship Program offers candidates an opportunity to gain professional work experience within these specialised fields.
This program is designed for students and recent graduates, who want to further develop their skills and knowledge in professional working.

Enrolment conditions

  • Hold a Working Holiday Visa (only)
  • Students must study English for a minimum of 4 weeks prior to the internship
  • Students must reach a upper intermediate level of English to be able to start their placement
  • Students must hold a personal liability insurance cover for up to AU$ 2 million*These internship placements are full-time and unpaid (5 days per week).
