“EXAMS” — That word gives me shivers down my spine and brings back a lot of memories, some good and some bad.
For me, exams and most importantly their results show a lot of attributes of someone. They show dedication and commitment and also show that you have the confidence to sit the exam in the first place.
I believe that I was quite the dedicated student back in my university and high school days, but I wasn’t one of those students who would be up to all hours of the night cramming all of my notes for the subject. I would plan out my study time making sure I didn’t do the same thing for too long. I would make sure I took breaks and studied in different ways, with note summarizing, mind maps, essay writing and multiple choice practices.
I have now been working at Langports for 18 months and have realized how easy and convenient it is to study a preparation course and then take the equivalent exam for that course some weeks later. You receive a certificate stating the results of the exam and present this to a potential employer to improve your chances of getting a job or to help you to further your studies back in your home country.
For those of you that are new to Langports and haven’t heard the wonderful news yet; Langports is now an authorized open centre for Cambridge English Exams and TOEIC Listening, Reading, Writing & Speaking Tests, which has allowed us to create Langports English Exams Centre! Yes we know it is a bit of a mouthful so we nicknamed it LEEC. 🙂
Now it is so easy for students; you just enroll for the test or exam and then you get to sit the exam in the comfort of one your very own Langports classrooms. It’s that easy! There is a huge variety of exams that you can choose to take at LEEC including; Cambridge- PET, FCE, CAE, CPE, BEC Vantage & BEC Higher and TOEIC Listening & Reading and TOEIC Writing & Speaking with more to come soon!
So why not show your friends and family how good you really are at learning English by sitting a Cambridge or TOEIC exam and bringing home with a certificate to prove it!
