Langports – The Best Way To Travel

24.10.2012

G’day! I’m Anna. I am the Marketing Director at Langports. I’ve been working at Langports for almost 8 years at our Brisbane & Gold Coast campuses and the thing I love most about Langports and my job is meeting great people!

I started working at Langports at the very beginning and for the first 5 years of Langports I met and knew every student in the school — it’s like a BIG family!

In the beginning, working at Langports was like travelling without leaving Australia because each year we have students from over 50 different countries. Each country has a different culture and I love that students share these cultures with us and with each other.

Now that I work in the marketing department, I am very lucky to travel all around the world to meet students and our Langports representative agents. This year I’ve been to New Zealand, Korea, Canada, Japan, Taiwan, Switzerland, Belgium and France. I almost went to Spain, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia – but I had to cancel this trip as I broke my leg in Switzerland! (That’s a story for another day!). It’s great visiting these countries to see our partners and also to meet students before they come to Australia. It’s also my opportunity to share a bit of the Aussie culture when I travel.

This year, when I was in Japan, I met up with some ex-Langports students who helped me at a fair to promote Langports. And last month, I organised a reunion party in Zurich for our Swiss Langports graduates. We had a good turn out of ex-students who came to meet me and my homestay student Sarah Meier! It’s so lovely to see students after they have graduated from their courses and to hear about their experiences in Australia.

I hope to continue travelling in the future and to continue to meet new Langports students and also catch up with students after their courses. So keep in touch with us on Facebook to see when I (and the rest of our Marketing Team) will be in a city near you!
